Quickieq.com - Web Clicker System

Product Description

Want to know what your audience/class is thinking right now? How about a quick check for understanding prior to starting the day's lesson? QuickieQ will help you gather a digital show of hands and more, whether the responders are in the same room or across the globe.

My Experience

This application was written by a colleague and teacher named Alan Degener from Juneau, Alaska. I first met Alan at the ASTE conference in Anchorage, and we shared ideas on coding web assessment engines.

Alan's product Quickieq is unique as it mimics the same functionality of remote clickers, but you can forgo the expense by just using a web browser.

I found Quickieq to be lightweight, responsive, accurate, and much simpler and easy to use than traditional clicker sets because do not have to worry about installs, batteries, range limits, and so on.

Applications for Education

Teachers often need to probe for understanding, engage reluctant learners, and display visual feedback to the audience. QuickieQ not only shows the scores, it also visual identifies correct and incorrect answers so you can easily monitor progress as it unfolds.

Quickieq is best for 1:1 computing initiatives or lab situations where each student has access to a browser. All questions, answers, graphs, charts, and response lists are delivered directly to the responders, so there is no need for an LCD projector.
